Full line-up announcement for Days Like This! Festival
The inaugural Days Like This! Festival, taking place during the first weekend of 2009, just got even better. The final line-up announcement now sees Mr Scruff, A Guy Called Gerald, Radioslave and Mike Monday join an already stellar cast of reggae, hip-hop, soul, funk and techno groups.
Mr Scruff may be a native of dreary old England, but his DJ sets are known for their funky visual projections of child-like animations (check out his cute website http://www.mrscruff.com to see some). A typical set sees Mr Scruff treat his audience to a smorgasboard of delights, whether it be funk, breaks, hip hop, jazz, Latin, African, soul, ska, disco, house, reggae, or even soundtracks.
Also hailing from the UK (now based in New York) is A Guy Called Gerald, an early pioneer of the Manchester acid house scene who played his first gig at the infamous Hacienda Club.
Local acts announced today for this fantastic festival are Killaqueenz, Deepchild, Ro Sham Bo, Uberlingua DJs, Canyons, Paradise Lost Crew, Simon Caldwell, Jamie Lloyd & Jimi Polar, Bec Paton, Soulshaker Crew, Thief, Murat Killac, Stereo Thieves, Huwston, Motech, Trevor Parkee, Gordan Watson, DJ Kavi-R, and Mad Racket's Jimmi James and Zootie.
